Fred's year of the snake finishes on February 17th at the start of the Chinese lunar new year festival. Fred is happy to hand over to the horse, for those born in 2026, 2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954, 1942 and even older than me.

You will know from reading "When Fred the Snake and Friends learn the Chinese Zodiac calendar" that "the horse was 6th in the Great Race" and is "warmhearted and easygoing".
But, it is a little more complicated, since each year is associated with one of five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water. 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse. I read that "The fire element provides warmth, connection, enthusiasm, and creativity; however, when in excess or deficiency, it can bring cold emotional responses or hot tempered behaviour including lack of joy, hatred, impatience, and impulsive behaviour".
