The first book “When Fred the Snake was Squished and Mended” was initially self-published in 2010, in paperback, and was well received. Happily, it was then taken up by a local publisher called The Fig and the Vine media and publishing LLC (www.thefigandthevinemedia.com), and came out much grander in hardback in 2012.
